BA: You are going to be featured in the upcoming BarreAmped Cardio Fat Burn workout DVD.  Most people are pretty nervous their first time on camera, but you’re a pro! What is your background?
E: I have a regular monthly spot on KATV Little Rock’s Good Morning Arkansas where I provide nutrition and healthy eating tips, and I also post regular video blogs on my website.

BA: So you have a blog. What is that blog and what do you provide people?
E: My website is http://www.elizabeth-finch.com. As a certified health coach, I’m super passionate about teaching other women to make healthy nutrition and lifestyle choices to look and feel their best.  Each week I post free content to my blog in the way of healthy and easy recipes and other wellness tips.  I also run online nutrition programs on my website.

BA: How do you find a balance between work, healthy living, and raising kids?
E: Sometimes it’s not always so easy! I spend most of the day while my kids are at school writing blog posts, working with my online nutrition program clients, and mentoring my team of wellness professionals. Once I pick up the kids, I try to turn all my attention to them. They tag along on trips to the grocery store where we make a game of finding a fruit or vegetable that they’ve never tried to test out, and they help me pick fresh, organic produce for our meals. I try to involve them in making healthy meals and homemade snacks, and talk to them about how foods make you feel good or bad and why. Exercise is usually done in an early morning class, before the kids are awake, or I’ll grab a quick 20 minute online video during the day if I can’t make it to a class. In the summer, our schedule is very fly by the seat of our pants (which is why I love working from home!)

BA: What do you and your family do for fun?
E: In the summer, we are at the lake every chance we get, which includes most weekends. We love to travel and see new places. We also love a good family movie night, or time spent with friends who have kids around my girls’ ages, just cooking a wonderful meal and letting the kids play.

BA: What is your favorite cheat meal?
E: I will splurge on tacos from a local restaurant, and I love a good grass-fed hamburger and sweet potato fries! I’m a firm believer in the 90/10 rule — 90% of the time, I eat as clean as I can with plenty of vegetables, lean proteins and whole grains.  10% of the time, I eat what I want. 🙂
