Barre fitness has historically been a top choice for women wanting to choose low-impact exercise during pregnancy. BarreAmped® founder & creator Suzanne Bowen has released multiple prenatal DVD titles and continues to offer safe & effective prenatal workouts for her online subscribers. Now, together with Pre & Postnatal Corrective Exercise Specialist & BarreAmped® Trainer Abbie O’Neal, we invite you to join us for this exciting training that empowers any fitness professional in their work with pre and postnatal clients.
Pre-requisites: None
Our goals in this training aren’t limited to simply avoiding certain movements during or after pregnancy. Instead, you’ll be able to teach pregnant women how to understand their bodies. Your instruction will help set them up for a more comfortable pregnancy, a smoother recovery, and an effective transition back into exercise postpartum (which happens to be one of the most vulnerable times for women in exercise).
In this training, you will:
Learn the unique anatomical changes of pre and postnatal clients
Discuss the specific challenges that pre and postnatal clients may face and how to safely continue movement and exercise through those challenges
Dive deep into the importance of maintaining a good breathing pattern throughout pregnancy and how to do so
Determine how the early postpartum client can begin safely reintroducing intentional exercise into their lives
Investigate how even clients that are 20 years postpartum can be living with experiences similar to that of her fellow clients in a different season of life … because you’ll hear us say, “once postpartum, always postpartum!”
This training is designed for fitness professionals (barre instructors, personal trainers, or other group fitness instructors), but there are no pre-requisites. All are welcome to join!
We would also note that while this training does focus on pre and postnatal clients, the principles of core connection apply across the board and will, therefore, serve all clients in your sphere well.
Included with your registration:
Printed instruction manual
Live & interactive workshop style training
Practical anatomy lessons
Exercise repertoire for pre and postnatal clients
Bonus opportunities to participate in Master Classes
Training Dates:
February 10-11, 2024 (Sat 12p-6p, Sun 8a-1p)
